Walks and hikes to a natural site, easy tours on medium altitude and theme walks, the WildWaterTrail, the Stubai High Trail and the more demanding routes to the peaks of the Seven Summits… the selection of hikes seems to be endless in the Stubai hiking network. Here, everyone finds the right path for themselves.
The hikes throughout the valley can be particularly challenging and steep. If you are looking for a more laid-back approach, use the cable cars to go up and down the mountains.
The four mountain railways Schlick2000, Elfer, Serlesbahnen and Stubai Glacier tap into four varied summer and hiking oases. The use of the gondolas is complimentary with the Stubai Super Card. We are also happy to transport you to the different starting points with our free hotel shuttle.
On the WildWaterTrail you hike three sections along a roaring stream. In a fantastic way, the alpine sites are ready to be experienced. The first section is popular with families, as it is easily walkable with a stroller and takes you along exciting sights, like the gorge at Ruetz creek (called Ruetz Katarakt), viewing platforms, a waterfall and an observatory. Glistening glacial fields, turquoise mountain lakes, little springs that turn into roaring waterfalls, little pastures and alluvial land - on the WildWaterTrail, you can marvel at the different forms of appearance of the element.
Excursion paradise Stubai. Our region is truly a dream come true for hiking fans of all ages. For mountain friends with kids we have multiple family and stroller-friendly trails taking you through dreamy nature and incredible mountain landscapes. You can rent prams and strollers free of charge from the hotel.
The first section of the WildWaterTrail is easily walked with a pram. The 3,5 km hike has a walking time of about 1,5 hours and is therefore the ideal length for little hikers as well.
The start of this route starts at the quarry in Ranalt to the shore of the Ruetz. After that, you pass Ruetz-Katarakt towards Tschangelair Alm. At the end of the Katarakt, the trail continues towards the Grawa waterfall. Your little ones will be amazed by the sight.
Located directly at the middle station of the Kreuzjoch gondola at Schlick2000, small and big visitors are taken onto the tree house trail - with Bardin the dwarf.
In the forest, there are 7 tree houses to be explored. Until Vergör and return, it takes about 2 hours with a 100 m altitude difference. The disc trail is a bit more sporty: with a wooden disc you put into a trough along the side, you can race it down the trail. A beautiful walk along spruce forest and along the Panorama lake.
Spend the day in the Serlespark and toboggan back down into the valley in the afternoon. With the Serles gondola you reach the mountain station, where you can experience the beautiful mountain panorama on a 1 hr hike towards Maria Waldrast. You can take the Serles train back to the mountain station from here. You surely will not be bored at Serles.
Idyllic pastures, the fresh scent of mountain forests - from the ‘Nürnberger Hütte’ parking lot, this beautiful trail takes you up to the Bsuchalm in about an hour. The home-made cakes and Tyrolean delicacies are a delight for everyone. Adjacent, you find a kids playground with a big climbing rock.
