Should a mountain bike tour over roots and rubble be too strenuous, you get an assist unit. Different e-bikes are available to rent in different shops throughout the valley.

Many destinations can now easily be reached. The e-bikes are equipped with an environmentally friendly electric motor and a high performance battery. Pedaling power is enhanced up to 150% and allows no excuses for ascents!

Summer hikes at the Stubai Glacier

Glacier

Whether you want to go on a relaxed walk with the kids or a demanding summit hike for ambitious mountaineers - the Stubai Glacier has the right trail for every hiker.

A hike along the Gletschersteig is ideal for active families with kids. In around 2 hours with 600 m altitude gain, you hike from the middle station Fernau (2.300 m) to the mountain station Eisgrat (2.600 m). Or follow the WildWaterTrail along waterfalls, fresh creeks and high alpine flora and fauna, from the Stubai Glacier, past the Grawa waterfall into the valley.

Weather-allowing, you can count up to 109 summits from the Stubai Alps to the Dolomites. With the panorama gondola Schaufeljoch, you can easily reach the kingdom of three-thousanders. In just a few minutes and over 232 steps, you arrive at the viewing platform TOP OF TYROL.

Your vacation in Neustift is a series of feats, strength and commitment. Physical effort is rewarded a hundredfold when you are mountaineering in Tyrol. The panorama of the surrounding Alps are truly a reward for mountain guides and hikers.

Stubai High Trail

So close to the sky … 8000 m of altitude, 100 km, 8 huts - and all of it in one valley. The Stubai High Trail is one of the most beautiful high trails of the Alps, on seven legs (walking time between 3 and 7 hours) leading you through the Stubai Alps.

You can descend from every hut, and vice versa head up the trail from the valley. This way, you can complete different sections of the trail. Please note that this hike is a black trail, meaning it is exclusively through alpine terrain. You need to be sure on your feet, appropriate physical condition, a good head for heights and the suitable equipment for this hike as a basic prerequisite.

Seven Summits

Greatness shows itself in different ways. The Seven Summits are not just about the altitude, but also the meaning of the mountains to humans. The seven peaks leave a lasting impression, tell a story and shape the distinctive landscape.

The Zuckerhütl (3.507 m) is snow-capped all year, the Wilder Freiger (3.418 m) is a spectacular sight, the Habicht (3.277 m), considered Tyrol’s highest mountain for a long time, the Rinnenspitze (3.003 m), the easiest to climb, the prominent ‘high altar’ Serles (2.717 m), the Hoher Burgstall (2.611 m) with its incredible panorama and the Elfer (2.505 m), the house mountain of Neustift - these seven peaks are the Seven Summits of the Stubai Valley. For every summit you climb, you can get a stamp in your summit pass (available at the tourism office), and depending on the number of summits you reach, you get a reward.
